Nielesh has obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience through his tenure in various senior management and executive positions with 10 years in the private sector and 20 years in the public sector within the Eastern Cape.
His portfolio includes the completion of articles at KPMG, serving as Regional Finance Manager at Alpha Cement, Finance Director at Provincial Treasury and Chief Financial Officer posts at Mayibuye Transport Corporation, The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism, COGTA (EC), The University of Fort Hare and The Eastern Cape Development Corporation.
Nielesh also held a number of directorships and audit and risk committee positions in various entities. His exposure has provided an excellent foundation in Leadership, Strategic Management and Planning, Risk Management and Compliance, Internal and External Audit exposure, Business Review and Support, Governance, Systems Review and Development, Accounting and Reporting, Overall Financial Management with a strong overall business acumen.
As part of his social responsibility contributions, he serves as Chairman of the Masithethe Counselling Services Board and, for a period, served as a member of the Rhodes University Finance Committee.
